Social Worker for the Adult Investigation Unit

Do you want a role where you can work with collaboration and authority exercise in adult matters? We are looking for a social worker for the adult investigation unit.

We meet adults from 18 years old and investigate their right to the support they need on their way to a more functional and independent life. We work closely with other units within the social services authority and are a team consisting of social workers, three team leaders, and a unit manager. We have good collegial cohesion with great commitment, knowledge, and humility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main tasks consist of investigating applications according to SoL, following up on approved interventions, and preparing cases with the support of LVU and LVM. In this role, you will work independently with your cases. Collaboration with both colleagues and team leaders in assignments is also an important part.

You will meet adults who, for various reasons, find themselves in a difficult life situation. The issues are often related to addiction or mental health problems. You will also work with issues related to homelessness and crime, such as dropouts and victims of crime, where you collaborate with the police. A crucial part of the role is collaboration, and you will have many contacts with other actors, including the correctional services and psychiatry or other units within the region. You will document in our system VIVA. Parental case management is also part of the position, and you will work with a family-oriented approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education and experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have experience in authority exercise according to SoL. We view previous experience in investigative work and experience working with the target group within comorbidity positively. A B driver's license is also beneficial.

You have a good ability to create trusting collaborations with others. People coming to us have different needs that you listen to, and we believe you can handle even difficult conversations.
